REFERENCES & EVALUATIONThe feedback on our courses since 1998 has been consistently very positive. We have had lots of remarks like "best training I have ever had" so many times we have totally lost count. Our aim is to engage and provide people with real knowledge and equip them with the tools to do the job. A lot of thought goes into our courses and quite a lot of original material that we ourselves have researched and developed. We continually revise on the basis of experience and new developments and all of our training packages we have developed ourselves and are not standard "off the shelf" training manuals most of which we think are pretty dreadful. We will only train within our own expertise and knowledge and fully acknowledge all our sources. Osiris Training & Consultancy views the subject of evaluation and assessment very seriously. Increasingly, agencies which undertake staff training are demanding value for money in terms of demonstrable transfer to the workplace of skills / knowledge acquired within the training setting. We offer all commissioning agencies a full evaluation service that can extend (if desired) far beyond the usual end-of-course standard evaluation. We constantly assess individual and group learning within our training sessions. Our methods of "on-the-job" assessment include groupwork, feedback, encouraging individual ipsative assessment and informal trainer evaluation of each "lesson slot", together with provision for participants to note issues for senior management. We will normally provide an end-of-course written Trainer Evaluation as part of our standard service. We can (if requested) Certificate our Training for a small additional fee per participant although custom and practice usually means that the commissioning agency does this. We feel that each Certificate should list Learning Objectives in terms of the relevant qualification structure that pertains. This provision can assist in the development of staff portfolios for NVQ or PQ. We are able to supply (upon request and at no charge) our own standard evaluation forms or we are very happy to facilitate the use of the commissioning agency evaluation forms.
