Foster Care Training
Over the years we have completed a great deal of foster carer training both in terms of NVQ programmes (training and assessment) and additional supplementary training such as Attachment Theory. We both enjoy and value training foster carers, as for us, the carer is in the front line of service delivery and the quality of care a carer delivers makes all the difference to turning around disadvantage and trauma in a child's life. Any of the Children's Training Courses can be adapted to foster care either for fostering link workers or foster carers. We are able to help both Children's Department's and supervising social workers with the (2007) Children's Workforce Development Council's foster care standards or in terms of our many other child care training options or in terms of offering the Attachment Style Interview - Adoption & Fostering (ASI-AF) regarding the assessment of carers.
