**INTRODUCTION TO CHILD PROTECTION**Note for Osiris College customers: this course is a one day general introduction to child protection and is available through Osiris College on a buy a place basis. It is intended for anyone who has - in the course of their work or leisure activities - contact with children or young people and thus need to be aware of how to notice whether a child may be being abused and the process of reporting child abuse. Please note that we do not use images of children having suffered maltreatment in this training. Please see our Risk Options page for many more Child Protection options This one day course is designed to equip people having contact with children, either directly or indirectly through their work, to attain a basic level of understanding and competence regarding child protection practice. The course is suitable for Children and Families, Adult or Mental Health social care staff, qualified or unqualified and all other individuals who need to have this basic awareness / knowledge within the course of their work or leisure activity. The course is intended to provide a fundamental grounding in the basics of child protection practice. Various presentations and small group exercises occur throughout the day.
