MODEL OF LEARNING

In common with the majority of training organisations and trainers we utilise Kolb's Learning Cycle as a model for effective learning. However, we believe that the human learning process is highly complex and requires a sophisticated approach to training design.

At each input within the Kolb cycle we ensure that our training designs are informed by proper appreciation and application of psychological theory - from communication theory through to psychodynamics.

In order that learning is maximised, we vary style and modes of delivery and always recognise and respond to the fact that individuals have different perceptual systems as well as learning needs.

We use a wide variety of training aids and teaching techniques to facilitate the learning process. Our purpose is to enable participants of our training to evaluate and link information within and to their own internal systems of belief and experience.  We are constantly searching for new ideas and training techniques to help us help you achieve and maintain excellence.

Because Osiris Training & Consultancy is active in its own right in research and practice, we are more than just translators and transfer agents of information. You can be assured of the latest information and key ideas relating to the subject area of any training we undertake. Furthermore, no other training organisation of which we are aware provides anything approaching the amount of information (course content and very substantial handouts) dispensed at our training sessions.

The next page (Click on Model Graphic) shows a graphical interpretation of our Model of Learning.
