MENTORING, COACHING AND ASSESSING POST QUALIFIED
& ACTIVE LEARNING OPTIONS
Mentoring or Coaching is much the
same thing. Purists may disagree but for all intents and purposes, the Mentor or
Coach
endeavours to "bring along" a student and develop his / her potential.
Within the Post Qualification
system for social work in the U.K. we have mentored / coached well over 200
students with excellent all round results. Our "pass rate" (measured
in terms of our students attaining pass marks on their courses) is better than
96% and the people we didn't get through would probably have dropped out
regardless.

We have undertaken mentoring
for the PQ1 Award for childcare, adult care and mental health.

We have undertaken mentoring
for the Child Care Award.

We have undertaken mentoring
for the Advanced Award in Social Work
-
We have also Assessed
students on the first two of these Award types.
We are available to mentor
/ coach students either as block allocations via commissioning through Local Authorities
or Children's Trusts or through private commissioning for individual students
who feel they need extra help / support with their course studies.
Our "Action Learning"
options involve similar block commissioning in terms of any teaching / training
theme we can offer translated into personalised coaching. Thus, for example:

health courses for the full range of options. Although we do not offer any specific
courses in Adult Care many of our training courses can be readily adapted. But
our mentoring services are available for Adult Care workers as well as child
care or mental health workers.
PRIVATE INDIVIDUALS:
For private individuals our
Email advice / constructive criticism (and it is constructive even if we dab
"red pen" all over your work) service is available for all
electronically written work and thus our service is available UK wide. Time is
purchased on a "block basis" at very reasonable rates.
