PRACTITIONER LEVEL
NEURO-LINGUISTIC PROGRAMMING & SOLUTION-FOCUSED BRIEF THERAPY COURSE (Five days
total comprising four Modules)
This course is available as a
commissioned in training course.
This course is a practitioner
level extension of
the three-day Introduction to NLP and Brief Solution Focused Therapy course and
which takes the learning of NLP and SFBT to the depth required of a competent
practitioner. We believe that commissioners who wish to book this course
must first book the Introductory course unless the commissioner can demonstrate
sufficient pre-existing knowledge and skills exist to the level of the Introductory course.
Please do not book this course otherwise as we start from the presumption that
participants have completed the Introductory course.
The Practitioner course
presupposes the knowledge and skills of the Osiris Introduction to NLP & SFBT course and comprises four further Modules. It is a major learning event and will develop
knowledge and skills gained from the Introductory course to the
level of practitioner competence and confidence. Participants will also be introduced to
more techniques from the vast NLP repertoire and deepen their knowledge of how
the human mind works and relates to others.
Learning Objectives: by
the end of the four Modules, participants will have built upon knowledge and
skills of the Introductory course and developed further knowledge and skills
with regard to:
Module 1:
Have
consolidated skills in using NLP Eye Accessing clues to help determine a
person’s lead and preferred Representational System.
Have consolidated skills in analysing language in order to determine a person’s
preferred Representational System.
Have developed skills in analysing the Sub-Modalities of representational
experiences.
Have consolidated skills in Sensory Acuity
Have consolidated skills in Mirroring and Cross Mirroring
Have consolidated skills in Rapport Building with others
Have developed understanding of the brain’s “maps and filters” in relation to
the world of experience
Have consolidated understanding of the key “Perceptual Positions”
Have consolidated knowledge of the fundamental assumptions and key beliefs of
NLP
Module 2:
Consolidated understanding and skills in using the NLP Meta-Model of Language
Consolidated skills in using the NLP VAK system to recognise representational
systems and determine strategy structure.
Consolidated skills in using sensory acuity, mirroring and cross mirroring to
build rapport with people.
Consolidated skills in using the 5 Perceptual Positions model.
Understand and have developed skills in using the NLP / Brief Therapy
Well-Formed Outcome Model and associated concepts of Framing.
Have been introduced and have developed skills in States of Mind and be able to
elicit such states.
Have been introduced to the concept of Anchors and Anchoring
Module 3:
Developed skills of Elicitation of States of Mind
Developed skills of eliciting the Sub-modalities of mental representations.
Developed competence in mapping with sub-modalities.
Developed competence in using standard sub-modality based change methods:
Have developed understanding and competence in using the perceptual positional
based techniques of phobia cure.
Developed an understanding of Anchors and Anchoring and setting and using
Resource Anchors.
Developed competence in Chaining Anchors
Developed competence in using the Collapsing Anchors technique.
Module 4:
Have been introduced to aspects of the Milton Model and developed understanding
of the use and power of Metaphor in therapeutic work.
Develop understanding of the concept of Trans-Derivational Search (TDS).
Have further developed skills in utilising Resource States
Have developed skills in using Resource States, Anchors and Collapsing Anchors
in terms of specific change techniques dealing with Grief and Loss and Belief
Formation change and Generating New Behaviours.
Been introduced to the concept of Time Lines and therapy change methodologies
based on time-lining.
Been introduced to the concepts and method of 6-Step Reframing and have
practiced various versions of this technique.
