PARENTING INTERVENTIONSThis independent service runs alongside our Parenting Assessment service and comprises a provision in which Osiris Training & Consultancy undertake direct change work with Families using the many resources and skills we have at our disposal. The model we work to is broadly influenced and informed by the Resolutions approach pioneered by Susie Essex and her colleagues (then of the NSPCC) in the 1990s. Our approach is very much outcomes focused using the Outcome Model we advocate which produces completely testable outcomes. Our assessment and interventive model is informed by Attachment Theory but our interventions are mostly CBT-based using Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) methods and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) techniques. utilised within the context of Attachment-based interventions. This CBT-based set of techniques we use evolved in parallel and derive from the outcome model we utilise. Our approach is, therefore, to formulate goals with the family and work with family members to enable the realisation of those goals in a manner which is directly observable for the family and everyone else involved. Our aim is to bring about "good enough parenting" and where the outcomes for the child are positive. Our work is very intensive - and will comprise sessions with family members to work on specific goals identified within assessment. It is too big a claim to say that if we can't attain the changes needed no-one can, but we are confident that we are pretty close to that threshold. This work is always specific to a family and doesn't permit of generalised talk of much value. We would prefer that you make contact to discuss with us the detail of your requirements.
