WHY OSIRIS?

The beauty and mythical power of ancient Egypt with its magnificent symbols and artefacts has fascinated numerous people for centuries. The god Osiris (pronounce: Oh-sire-riss) is known to date back far into the depths of antiquity - long ages before the First Dynasty of 3,100 B.C. In recent times, scholars have emphasised the predilection of the ancient Egyptians for the stars and the heavens. Osiris was inextricably linked to the constellation of Orion, to whence souls judged "good of life" departed. Long before the advent of Christianity, Osiris was the god of rejuvenescence, resurrection and life of every kind and form. He represented the power of renewal over decay, life over death and light over darkness. We have adopted his name and image to represent both graphically and metaphorically our intention to renew and rejuvenate: "Lighting the Way Forward" in all our Training and Consultancy.
